Turning one is such a big milestone — for both baby and parents! This little guy came to the studio to celebrate his first birthday, and instead of a cake smash, we focused on capturing him just as he is right now — full of joy, personality, and that sweet one-year-old charm.

Sometimes the simplest sessions end up being the most meaningful. For this shoot, we kept the setup soft and neutral — light wood floors, warm tones, and a cozy backdrop that lets his expressions shine. He was all smiles and giggles from the moment he sat down on the “ONE” box, and I loved how curious he was exploring everything around him.

I always encourage parents to think about what kind of images they want to remember from this age. Cake smashes are fun, but classic portraits like these feel timeless. We did a mix of sitting, standing, and simple props to show off how much he’s grown. That proud moment standing by the chair is one of my favorites — a perfect reminder of how quickly babies go from crawling to taking those first steps.
